Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Pal Horu ("Palhoru", "we", "us") handles information when you use the palhoru.com website and the Pal Horu mobile apps for Android and iOS (together, the "Service"). You do not need an account to use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you submit in reports. When you report a phone number, we collect the phone number, the type of call (scam, spam, marketing or other) and your description. You may also choose to add an email address and/or address linked to the reported number. These fields are optional.

Reports are public. Everything submitted in a report (phone number, type, description, and any optional email address or address) is published on the website and in the apps so others can look it up. Do not include your own personal information, or information you are not entitled to share, in a report.

Technical information. When you submit a report we record your IP address to prevent spam and abuse (for example, limiting how often reports can be submitted). This is not displayed publicly.

Contact and removal requests. If you contact us or request removal of a phone number, we collect the details you provide (such as your name, email address, address and reason) to process your request.

Advertising and device information. Our advertising partners may collect device and usage information as described in section 3.

2. How We Use Information

  • To publish community reports and let people search phone numbers
  • To prevent spam, fraud and abuse of the Service
  • To review and act on removal requests and reports of inappropriate content
  • To respond to messages you send us
  • To show advertisements that keep the Service free
  • To maintain, secure and improve the Service

3. Advertising

The website shows ads from Google AdSense, and the Android and iOS apps show ads from Google AdMob. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple's Identifier for Advertisers, IDFA), IP address and usage information to show, measure and personalize ads. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

iOS – App Tracking Transparency. On iPhone, the Pal Horu app asks for your permission before it can use the IDFA to track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are still shown but are not personalized using the IDFA. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or from the About screen in the app.

Android. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on your device).

Website. You can control cookies in your browser settings, manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, or use the Network Advertising Initiative and Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tools.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • Publicly, for the contents of reports (see section 1)
  • With advertising partners (Google AdSense and AdMob) as described above
  • With service providers that host and operate the Service
  • With authorities when required by law or to protect people from harm

5. Data Retention

Reports remain published until they are removed by us or following a valid removal request. IP addresses and request details are kept only as long as needed for abuse prevention, legal obligations and handling requests.

6. Removal Requests and Your Rights

If a report includes your phone number, email address or address, or you believe a report is false or inappropriate, you can ask us to remove it using the removal request form or by contacting us. You may also ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. We review every request and may contact you to verify it.

7. Content Rules

Reports must be truthful and based on your own experience. Do not post national ID numbers, threats, hate speech or other abusive content. We may edit or remove any report, and you can flag content from the app (About > Report inappropriate content) or via our contact page.

8. Data Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on secured servers with restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Cookies

The website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, analyze usage and deliver advertisements. The mobile apps do not use browser cookies but the advertising SDKs may use device identifiers as described above.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
